Asahina Gyokuro green tea from Shizuoka, Japan.
Gyokuro is the highest grade of Japanese green tea. It is carefully cultivated under shade for around that 20 days before harvest. By limiting sunlight, the leaves develop a richer umami flavour and natural sweetness while reducing bitterness, resulting in a smooth and deeply layered flavor.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, gentle and rounded.
